It is inevitable you will make comparisons with the prices you may be aware of in the UK and of course with French paints too. Britpaints only sell true UK trade products, not tins of paint marked "Trade" from major high street outlets. We offer a supply from all professional producers we know of, from Albany to Zinsser, some may be known to you others may be more obscure to the non trade buyer. We have to ship these to France, we have to pay the VAT and we have to make a profit so direct comparisons with a tin of "B & Q matt vinyl" are not 100% realistic. Our competition is locally produced and marketed products - these of course are all retail standard, already known to be lower opacity. Some of our suppliers have retail and trade ranges (Dulux for instance) - remember we supply trade standard products only. We bring you the widest spectrum of colours, technical support and help where needed in your mother tongue.
French Paints We have reviewed prices seen on the shelf at places such as Castorama, and litre for litre we believe we are more than competitive with the better quality leading products on price for price basis. We will let your experience guide you as to coverage, ease of application and time taken. In our view it's a no contest if all real cost parameters are taken in consideration. We of course offer known brands with the added benefit of true trade - higher opacity better flow and so forth. It's common knowledge painting is 80% preparation and undercoating and 20% finish. More importantly for a really rugged and long lasting finish we firmly believe in correct priming and undercoats, as of writing this we have not been able to locate primers or undercoats in French outlets. All such primary products, from Acrylic putties through knotting to Zinc primers are of course available from us to ensure a professional, robust and long enduring finish.
